belts. love them or hate them, they were huge in 2019. they're the cornerstone of any good street style look, so here are my top picks.

Off White ($250) loves to take street style literally. like, "we took some caution tape and wrapped it around our waists" literally. i don't think i have to tell you how successful and popular this belt is, seeing as how it's still sold out on their website.

much like their multipocket bag, this Louis Vuitton ($1320) belt reminds me of something very utilitarian. construction belt meets luxury.

reversible vlogo belt in glossy calfskin

this belt from Valentino ($525) is the other side of the street style coin. instead of utilitarian, it's minimalist in the best form. also, can everything be reversible? i love a two for one deal.

tie the knot 45mm belt

another from Louis Vuitton ($700), this belt mimics the street style trend of tying ultra-long belts into knots around blazers and high waisted jeans.

leather belt with double g buckle

ending on a classic, this Gucci belt ($460) is really the belt that started it all. i don't think that there's a belt out yet that's replaced this one in terms of popularity, but we'll see what 2020 has in store for the belt game.

with 2019 coming to a close, it's time to look back at the top 5 best designer bags of 2019. full disclosure, I'm a street style b*tch, so these bags are the ones that I think are best rocked with a pair of Air Force 1s and the hoodie you stole from your ex-boyfriend...

the multi-pochette accessoires

this bag from Louis Vuitton ($1,640) is the height of street style bags. the canvas strap, the chain, and multiple bags and the classic LV print gives the urban, utilitarian vibe that we all crave mixed with that sweet, sweet luxury.

ah, a classic. Balenciaga's ($1,790) white on black, minimalist min bag is perfect for most outfits. such a vibe. i love that it looks almost not fancy enough to be designer. the cool factor is at an 11.

another from Balenciaga ($1,390) and though it's new, it's already sold out. the graffiti print is something else. there was a limited edition Gucci print that had graffiti as the main design, and then only thing stopping me from getting it (besides a crying bank account) was that it was mostly pink. no shade, no tea, i'm just not a fan of pinks and pastels, but this one is perfect. you can't get more street style than graffiti.

gg marmont matelassé leather belt bag

speaking of Gucci ($1,150), i couldn't make this list without mentioning the classic Gucci belt bag. one of my favorite bag trends for street style is the hands free belt bag (or fanny pack or bum bag, depending on where ya from). this style has come from the upswing of the popularity of festivals in the last decade or so (shout out to me and all my friends ditching school to drive to Coachella). this is retaking "dad on vacation style" one designer step at a time.

finally, the last street style bag on my list, this beauty from Off White ($910). Off White is one of the street style lovers' tried and true brands, which has really only come in to the mainstream fashion market within the last couple of years. again, they keep the colors simple and the patterns graphic, which is a trend for street style bags. they also have a canvas strap like the Louis Vuitton, though it's debateable as to who popularized that first. (most people argue it was off white with their caution tape belt.)
